Since PLAY Boulder was founded in 1976, the organization has been striving to expand access to sports & recreation, to preserve Boulder’s environment, and to enhance local public spaces. Today, as our community faces the impacts of climate change, rising cost of living, and stress that weighs on mental and physical health, we believe our work is as vital as ever.

In the face of climate change, studies have shown that a prosperous urban canopy is one of our best tools to combat rising temperatures and the negative impacts they have on the community’s physical health. Our Tree Trust is working to expand the urban canopy in Boulder, and a donation to PLAY Boulder on CO Gives Day will support its continued work!

A donation to PLAY Boulder on Colorado Gives Day will directly support the work of our Access pillar, which strives to expand access to recreation for all and make sure everybody in Boulder has a chance to play and live a healthy, active lifestyle!
