Community Courts Campaign
Game, Set, Match—Let’s Build Boulder’s Premier Public Courts Together!
At the heart of every thriving community is the opportunity to connect, play, and grow together. The PLAY Boulder Foundation invites you to be part of a transformative effort to enhance Boulder’s recreational spaces and celebrate what it means to have a community united in purpose. Boulder’s love for racket sports is undeniable and to fully meet our community’s passion, we have the opportunity to go beyond the basics and create state-of-the-art gathering spaces that serve players of all ages and skill levels.
The vision is clear, and the opportunity is now. In 2024, Boulder Parks & Recreation (BPR) finalized its Court System Plan, a bold vision for expanding and enhancing Boulder’s racket sport facilities. This plan will guide the city’s investments, operations, and partnerships to ensure an accessible, high-quality playing experience for all. As implementation begins in 2025, we have a unique chance to maximize this investment and bring the courts to their full potential but we need your support to make it happen.
The Funding Gap & Your Role
$500,000 Community Goal per Project – To build the courts at Tom Watson Park and East Boulder Community Park with all the amenities that will make them truly exceptional, we need to raise the final funding together.
Why This Matters
A Premier Racket Sports Destination – More than just courts, this will be a vibrant, accessible gathering space where families, friends, and neighbors come together to play, connect, and grow.
Public-Private Partnership = Bigger Impact – Taxes alone can’t fund everything our community wants. That’s where PLAY Boulder Foundation steps in—to harness the community’s passion and make this project greater than the sum of its parts.
Act Now & Accelerate the Build – With city funding secured, every community dollar raised helps build the amenities we want and enhance the base design.
Be Part of Boulder’s Future & Be Recognized for It – Let’s Rally for Boulder!
Every gift, large or small, makes a meaningful impact—and donors will be celebrated for their role in this transformation. Join us and secure your place on an on-site Donor Wall or similar recognition feature, honoring your investment in Boulder’s recreational future. Your support will bring this vision to life. Make your impact today because great communities don’t just happen, they are built together.

Successfully Funded Projects
Chautauqua Courts
We are honored to recognize the generosity of Mo and Jennifer Siegel, whose significant gift has made the refurbishment of the Chautauqua Park pickleball court possible. This contribution not only enhances our community’s recreational opportunities but also marks the first implementation of Boulder’s “Sponsorship Naming of City Facilities” policy, a lasting testament to The Mo and Jennifer Siegel Family’s dedication to our city as they choose a name for our courts.
Join us in supporting community recreation! Through the PLAY Boulder Foundation’s capital campaign, you can help fund additional amenities for court projects like this one and contribute to Boulder’s vibrant community spaces.
