Coya Pair (she/her)

Communications & Development Specialist

Coya grew up between Utah and Colorado and has spent her life recreating outdoors and serving her local communities. Her work in communications began during her undergrad at Fort Lewis College, where she studied Journalism and Multimedia Studies, and served as the Editor-in-Chief for the Fort Lewis College Independent. During this time, she interned and volunteered at Compañeros: Four Corners Immigrant Resource Center, where she prepared and executed outreach communications, and supported the implementation of a youth mentorship program called Escuelita. This work solidified Coya’s passion for community development and inspired her to pursue El Pomar Foundation’s Fellowship program, where she enhanced her skills in communications, project management, and learned more about fundraising and development opportunities within the nonprofit sector.

Coya feels honored to continue this work with PLAY Boulder Foundation, as our organizational values deeply align with her own. When she’s not working, you can find Coya PLAYing outside with her rescue pup, Mila!
