Bryan is the Senior Recreation Manager for Community Building + Partnerships with Boulder Parks and Recreation, currently supporting the department’s community programs, camps, gymnastics, volunteer services and strategic partnerships. Since joining the department in 2016, Bryan has functioned in roles that have included oversight of Boulder’s recreation centers, aquatics, health & wellness, sports, special events, financial aid program, and the redevelopment of Scott Carpenter Pool. An Ex-Officio board member for the PLAY Boulder Foundation, his position functions as the department liaison to provide regular support and direction to the board and Executive Director.
Bryan is dedicated to public service and thrives on “doing good well” by lending business acumen to mission driven efforts, with a focus on health equity initiatives. Before moving to Boulder, he was a director at non-profit sports and fitness organization in New York City that delivered free community programs to nearly 50,000 children and seniors annually. Bryan holds a Masters degree in Sports Management from Columbia University and a Bachelors degree from Mary Washington College. A New York native, Bryan now lives in South Boulder with his wife, who grew up in the neighborhood, and two daughters.
